The Ministry of Labor in Saudi Arabia is charged with the issuance of work visa to expatriates. In addition, professionals who are working in the kingdom as non-residents are granted a residence permit by the Ministry of the Interior’s Directorate General for Passports. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs supervises the work visa procedure carried out by the Saudi embassy in the professional’s native country. Any foreigner wishing to work within the kingdom has to be sponsored by an employer who is a legal resident of Saudi Arabia. For this purpose, the government demands a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) from the former employer of that professional. Proper documentation including a valid employment contract in Arabic, medical certificates and academic reports must be submitted to obtain a work visa. Temporary work visas are also issued for professional visits lasting from 30 to 90 days We responsibly handle the documents entrusted to us by our clients and applicants. The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) of the relevant Emirate have the authority to issue a work visa to expatriates. Firstly, the employer applies to Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation to procure the work permit for their employee. This document grants the employee entrance into the UAE where their residence limit extends to 2 months. The sponsor is obligated to ensure that requirements for important medical tests, UAE Resident Identity (Emirates ID) Card and Labour Card are fulfilled as per the law. They are also granted 60 days to get the employee’s passport stamped with the work residency permit. This proves that the sponsorship claimed by the employee is authentic. An added advantage of the stamp is that the employee’s family members may be sponsored as well.
